Is Philippines the best place for gays in Southeast Asia?

The Philippines placed 22nd in ranking of 123 countries by U.S.-based pollster Gallup, based on to the ratio of respondents who said their area is a “good place” for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people to live.

Falling star steals show at Cosmo bash

MANILA, Philippines - Without intending to, James Reid stole the show at the Cosmo Bachelor Bash 2014 Wednesday night at the World Trade Center in Pasay City — by falling off the stage and recovering posthaste to the applause of the audience.

James was wearing shades and earphones when it happened. He was doing a sing-and-dance number and was unhurt as he climbed back onstage and continued his act as if nothing happened. (Moral of the story? Don’t wear shades at night.)

ORMOC CITY, Philippines – A powerlifter from this city placed second overall in the juniors category of the World Powerlifting Championship held in Orashaza, Hungary earlier this month.

Regie Ramirez, a 21-year-old freshman education student of the Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc campus, was one of two Filipino delegates sent by the Philippine Sports Commission to the competition held Sept. 3 to 6.
